Luigi Capone is a senior manager at Leonardo SpA leading the digital transformation through Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computational Engineering, while leveraging on deep High Performance Computing expertise for an effective exploitation of the new born davinci-1 corporate facility.
Previously, Dr. Capone worked a Accenture SpA as Technology Consulting Manager, Talent and Organisation, Financial Services. He spent twelve years overseas in different roles and countries, one and half year at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (TN, USA) as computational scientist, six years at Rolls Royce plc (Derby, UK) as senior computational fluid dynamics developer and one year at EDF R&D ( Clamart-Chatou, Paris, FR) as post-doctoral industrial fellow, respectively.
Luigi holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering at Texas A&M University and a M.Sc ad B.Sc at Politecnico di Milano.
His research and professional interests focus on computational software engineering (with accent on computational fluid dynamics), GPUs based parallel computing, highly scalable big data system and digital twin frameworks for virtual design.
